PROGRESS OF 2011 – ANANDA COLLEGE
YEAR 2011
Ananda College Colombo and Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda retained the boys and girls championship awards respectively at the W. Jinasena de Silva memorial Trophy all-island inter-school under 15 Badminton Double’s tournament held at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium Kurunegala.
The tournament was jointly conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association and the North Western Province Badminton Association and sponsored by SKM Lanka Holdings Private Limited for the fourth consecutive year.
In the boys super ‘A’ Division final Ananda College Colombo overcame Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda after tense battle while in the girls super ‘A’ division final Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda defeated Holy Cross College Gampaha to win the final.
Over 1000 boys and girls from nearly 100 schools participated for this four day tournament.
