The OAAV have been participating in Clean Up Australia Day for a few years now, but this year we contributed on a larger scale by organising our own site to clean up. At our request, the Kingston City Council allocated us Mordialloc Creek and the adjoining Epsom wetlands as the site for clean up.

We were extremely happy to have had more than 40 volunteers taking part on the site allocated to us, and had a lot of fun participating in this national community initiative. We greatly appreciate the participation of the past students from other Sri Lankan schools and the assistance given to us by the staff of Kingston City Council. We wound up the cleaning activities with a BBQ.
